Biography

Dr. Gomide was born in Campinas, Brazil, and moved at a young age to the border town of Mission, Texas, where he grew up. He attended Rice University in Texas for his undergraduate education. He eventually attended medical school at Columbia University in New York City, where he fell in love with the field of ophthalmology. His research years were dedicated to improving the understanding of how optical coherence tomography can be more effectively utilized to treat glaucoma and retinal disorders.

He is excited to come to Seattle and explore a new corner of the country with his partner. In his free time, Dr. Gomide enjoys reading, hiking, attending live music events, and watching soccer.
